President Obama's acceptance speech highlights
I am VERY proud , excited and elated that President Barack Obama was reelected this year. He has made history TWICE. No matter who you voted for, your beliefs, values and or views, you have to recognize the history that was made yesterday!
I wish him the best of luck and my prayers are with him and his family as he leads the US to better times. Lord knows the US could use some "light at the end of the tunnel". :)
...learned ALOT about blogging.
I started this blog as an assignment for class and I have to say, I was a bit intimidated because I thought it was A LOT harder than it really is.
Blogging is amazing to me. Ive learned so much more than I thought I ever could. I never thought I would have my own little word on the web. :) Its fun and can reach soooooo many people. Technology as a whole is so important in this day and age and its necessary to be successful in any field. After blogging for the past 2 months, Ive found my ONE mode of social media that I can rock with. lol Its my own little world. I don't have to worry about drama, post I could care less about, braggadocios celebs (or wanna bes) that comes with sites like twitter, facebook etc. I control my world, and it feels good.
I remember about 5 years ago MTV was looking for a Social Media Correspondent ( or something like that), and the salary was something like 100k, my first thought was: what the hell is a social media correspondent and why and how could they make 100k. That type of salary was typically reserved for C level corporate executives or financial folks. Four years later, I get it. Back then blogging, twitter and facebook were not all that popular, now look!
I read a list (http://www.ebizmba.com/articles/blogs) of top blogs and perezhilton.com is a few under the Huffington Post, *insert shocked face*. If that doesn't show the growth of blogging, I don't know what does. I remember when he was some random dude hanging around Paris Hilton, now his blog is one of the most viewed blogs. There is money to be made blogging and to be honest, I never thought I would see the day!
I would love to pursue a career a blogger for a fashion magazine, clothing designer or something along those lines. I have a GREAT sense of style and could offer a perspective from any angle: from kids, men's, women's and even dogs fashion. I would also do well in the interior design industry, I just have a creative eye for all things stylish (that my opinion). :)
Blogging as a whole has come a long way, and I see it reaching heights no one could ever imagine.
I hope to continue my blog long after this semester and I look forward to challenging myself and taking my blog to the next level. Who knows, I could land a gig doing this for a living. Look out world!
